WIND POWER
THE ALTERNATIVE ENERGY
Many home/business owners/municipality/city/state/government are looking for the perfect solution to become independent of expensive electricity providers. How close is it to producing electricity yourself?
Wind energy is an inexhaustible source of clean electricity.
Wind power and photovoltaics in combination is the best alternative!
A misconception: wind turbines are only worthwhile when the wind is strong
The misconception that wind turbines need strong winds to produce enough energy persists. This assumption is now considered outdated in view of modern and high-performance systems. Today, even a light breeze produces electricity. As with photovoltaics and battery storage, the technology is constantly being developed, so that with modern wind turbines, wind force 2 is already sufficient (this corresponds to 6 to 11 kilometers per hour or 1.6 to 3.3 m/s) to produce energy. The maximum performance is already achieved from a wind force of 5 (29 to 38 kilometers per hour or 8.0 - 10.7 m/s).
Wind power supplements the photovoltaic systems and makes you independent of the power generator
Energy source that unfolds its greatest power in the opposite direction to solar time
Photovoltaic systems are a well-known means of supplying the house with its own electricity, but what do you do at night.
Evening and night is wind power time.
And to fill the solar power gap, vertical wind turbines are ideal for using wind energy.
The best thing would be an energy source that develops its greatest power in the opposite direction to solar time.
For them, a micro or mini wind turbine is a real alternative. When the sun no longer provides energy at night, the required electricity must be obtained either from the battery or from the grid. An interesting alternative are wind turbines as horizontal or vertical wind turbines. They cover part of the required energy. And: The higher the share of self-generated electricity, the less increases in electricity prices have to be accepted by the supplier. Solar power systems (photovoltaics) and small wind systems complement each other perfectly due to the weather conditions.
Wind turbine: better horizontal or vertical?
The successful operation of a small wind turbine depends on its location. Depending on the design, wind turbines are offered as horizontal or vertical systems. A horizontal wind turbine is a turbine with two to five rotor blades rotating around a horizontal axis. Horizontal wind turbines should always be in a linear flow so that the rotor can always turn around its own axis. So the wind can be used from all directions. As a rule, linear currents are found in rural areas or at heights of around ten meters or more above the ground. Turbulent currents - as they occur in densely built-up areas - are unfavorable for this form of wind energy generation, since the rotor can only turn in one direction.
Vertical Mini Wind Turbines: Perfect for densely built-up areas
Wind conditions in built-up areas and on rooftops are difficult due to wind turbulence. Vertical wind turbines, on the other hand, are all-rounders for densely built-up areas. Such wind turbines are characterized by a very special design: Here the motor is usually attached to the lower side of the wind turbine and the semi-circular curved rotor blades rotate around a vertical axis above.
The key advantages of a vertical wind turbine are its 360-degree flow capability and quiet operation. Turbulent air currents, such as those that often occur in densely built-up residential areas or are caused by obstacles such as trees or other buildings, do not pose a problem for this type of wind turbine. The optimum installation height starts at around three meters above the ground.
Small and micro wind power: what is the difference?
For small wind turbines, there are guidelines for devices with dangerous operating voltages. These provide for a wide variety of simplifications for wind turbines with a diameter of up to 1.55 m and a maximum of 75 volts direct current or 50 volts alternating current. These plants count as micro wind power.
If the rotor or operating voltage is slightly larger, the next category applies to systems up to 16 meters in diameter - small wind power.
Our components exploit exactly this boundary between the two types of turbines: Those who need more power are better off installing several smaller micro wind turbines instead of one larger one. This is no different in solar technology. The systems from Brenner Energie have been optimized to get the maximum performance out of the given size and at the same time to offer a long service life.
Convinced of wind power?
Would you like to be completely independent of the electricity supplier? Then a wind turbine is the right solution for you! Only through the energy production in the sunless hours by a wind turbine is it ensured that the required electricity is produced and the storage tanks are filled. With a symbiosis of photovoltaics, wind turbines and battery storage, it is possible to achieve self-sufficiency of up to 100%.
Wind Energy International - Facts and Figures

Asia leads with 404,141 MW in terms of installed capacity, followed by Europe with 235,950 MW.
China continues to lead the world in total installed capacity, followed by the US and Germany in third place. In 2021, around 93,605 MW were newly installed worldwide from wind energy.
China ranks first in the world for newly installed capacity with 47,570 MW, followed

WIND POWER ENERGY PRICE
Is solar or wind energy cheaper? In the 2020 Lazard analysis, the lifetime costs (when including subsidies) of power are $31 per megawatt-hour for utility solar and $26 per megawatt-hour for wind. The cost of increasing capacity was $41 for coal.
How much does a 20kw wind turbine cost?
As an alternative source of energy, wind turbines are not cheap. Massive wind turbines can cost up millions. Look at it from this perspective, and if a 15kw wind turbine can go up to $125,000, you can assume that a 20kw wind turbine can cost more. It is safe to say that it can cost more than $125,000.
How much is a 100kW wind turbine? The wind turbines for residence and farm are less expensive, when a KW energy production capacity applies to the rates. The 10 KW wind turbine price is about $28,000and 100 KW price is about $ 48,000.
The prices are not stable, especially in China the prices move every month.
Naturally, we look for the cheapest option for you.
Planning a Wind power system
You have decided on a Windpower system, now a good plan is needed. During the planning phase, it is important to find out which system size is right for your electricity needs – today and in the future: The planning also answers whether you need an electricity storage device and if so, how large it should be. As a result, you will receive a profitability calculation and you will find out which components you can use to implement your wind power system.
At a glance:
- Determine your current electricity needs based on your electricity bills.
- Consider whether the demand for electricity could increase, , heat pumps, saunas...
